Formworks is proud to announce its involvement in Air New Zealand’s latest seating designs for long haul travel.

Over the last two or more years Formworks has been working closely with Air New Zealand and Altitude (Air New Zealand Engineering Services) in developing some ground breaking new seating designs. The SkyCouch is believed to be the first lay flat bed for economy class travel in the world. The design work involved extensive conceptualisation, manufacture of working mock-ups, user testing, ergonomics, engineering design and visualisation.

The designs were officially launched on the 26th of January and have received very positive responses from the media.
