MARTIN AIRCRAFT COMPANY

Midway through 2007 Formworks met with Glenn Martin and the Martin Aircraft Company, where we were introduced to the labours of an R&D project that had taken 26 years to get off the ground. Their engineering expertise and efforts had culminated in the development of a Jetpack that had been secretly flying about in a small warehouse, on the outskirts of Christchurch’s CBD.

With the engineering fundamentals of the Jetpack having been mostly completed, Glenn engaged Formworks to develop the modern Jetpack design in order to help realise his dream.

This has been an incredibly challenging and rewarding project and the team at Formworks are very grateful to Glenn Martin and the Martin Aircraft Company, for the opportunity to help bring into reality arguably one of the worlds most enduring popular icons… the Martin Jetpack.
